The Walk
- The tomb is situated approximately 1 mile (1.5 km) from Visitor Centre, with the Bronze Age Site about midway
- The circular tour (walking) takes around 1 hour
- The scenery and wild flowers along the cliff walk are wonderful. Seals can often be seen.
- There are a few seats along the route
- Alternative arrangements may be made at the visitor centre for anyone with a time or mobility problem. Please ask at reception on arrival
- If unable to visit the sites, visitors assure us they get excellent value for money with exceptional interpretation and hospitality available in the centre.
Entering the 'Tomb'
The passage way into the Tomb is 28" (0.70 m) wide and 33" (0.85 m) high- Once inside there is plenty headroom and light
- The quickest option is to crawl along the 3 metre entrance
- Many visitors have a great time using the second option – the infamous trolley!
- For anyone with a fear of enclosed spaces, the trick is to keep your eye on the horizon and reverse in
